Atul Kohli

Biography

Atul Kohli is the David K.E. Bruce Professor of International Affairs and Professor of Politics and International Affairs at Princeton University. A leading scholar in the political economy of developing countries, he focuses on how states shape economic development, industrialization, and inclusive growth, with particular emphasis on South Asia. Kohli is the author of several influential books, including State-Directed Development and Poverty amid Plenty in the New India, and has published numerous scholarly articles. He has also served as Chief Editor of World Politics and Vice President of the American Political Science Association.
